So just like usual, it seems the actual players figured out what the issue is. No surprise really.
They are enabling the handicapping on the game, a built in feature if you ever played H2H games. Much of the game last year was so bored with the actual game events that for a good portion of the year we played h2h player tournaments that were x100 more fun then any game mode that GLU had for us. It required actually playing the game and just clicking autoplay to end.
Basically, you were given the option to enable "handicap" if you faced off against a much better team, making the game more fair for both sides. This is exactly what is taking place right now for Diamond teams in this "new bucket". 180k teams facing 100k diamond teams are getting smoked by the computer simulation. CS response of course is "manual playing greatly increased your odds of winning".... LOL not surprised by this response. But this explain why the higher tier teams are getting rocked by the lower teams. Unless there something more to it? Maybe @DFBB can weight in on this or get some clarification and get some answers for people.

This sounds like material for the "Bait and Switch" thread.
Yes, we are aware of the game having crashing issues in the middle of WoH, but we can't compensate you for the gold you lost at this time. This is done on a case by case basis. - TSB Customer Service
