I don't really play the game anymore, but for some reason I still look at this board once in a blue moon. To avoid striking out you definitely have to be patient. Sometimes it helps to not swing at anything until the pitcher throws you a strike. Another trick I used to use is that if you have a 3-1 count don't swing. The…
haha no offense taken, I haven't spent any money though. And I can see how it looks like I defend Glu, but I understand how this recent update is wrong in a lot of ways. I just try to explain the rationale
Glu doesn't care how much you play the game without spending money though. In fact, if you aren't going to spend money, then to them you're costing them bandwidth and other server costs, so they probably don't care if you stop playing. On the other hand, they need a large and loyal userbase to make this game interesting…
You mean for your Kershaw? Or for the Legends' Kershaw? I agree that striking out 13 and allowing 12 hits simultaneously is unrealistic IRL but for a simulation I think it makes more sense. In a simulation like this one you have a bunch of individual events, at bats, that are independent of each other in the eyes of the…
That dude who has like 250 inactives is probably so happy right now at all the guys who had break out years who are now on his team. I want him to post and tell all of them he found
While I understand your frustration, it's baffling to me that people are surprised or even upset that this is all about the money. Do you think the developers are working for free? Do you think they have servers that require no bandwidth and no energy costs? Do you think Glu works out of someone's garage? They have bills…
Wow you have to be top 5 to get gold for rewards now. While this sort of sucks, it also means I will play this game much more passively and not grind for those rewards so I can focus more on work, so it's weirdly almost a relief.
If you knew anything about baseball, which you don't, you'd realize that David Wright had an OPS of .698 and an oWAR of 1.4 this year. 3* is a perfect rating for him, might even be a bit high.
Some good some bad. -Cole Hamels became a 5* from a 4* pitcher, glad I held onto him - Some absolute scrub who I had in my inactives went from probably 2* or less to 5*, he's a short stop named Danny Santana at 9 3 9 - JD martinez was also a 3.5* in my inactives and became a 5* A lot of other small changes too, so glad…
I went to 8 because the legends would pile on runs due to errors. I wouldn't say I notice a difference per se, but the nature of the upgrade is that you will undoubtedly commit fewer errors at the clip they advertise
You don't add percentages like that. It starts with some baseline percentage when you have no upgrades, let's say 10% since you catcher is terrible. Then with each N upgrade level you multiply that 10% by 1.2^N. So when you have upgraded to level 9 you will have 10*1.2^9 which is roughly 50% of baserunners, which would…
I think Hanley Ramirez numbers are 9/9/7 which is ludicrous but that makes him the best position player. Goldschmidt is close at 9/9/6 I believe. My best player is Puig at 9/7/7. He can hit for power, average, and successfully steals 75% of the time.
