New to the game - adding friends on Android

How do I add friends on Android. The game is connected to Google+ (strangely it asked if I wanted to connect to that - maybe that was just a G+ thing), and connected to Facebook. But for the life of me I can't find where I would add friends from Facebook to the game....

Is there a way, or is this another Android/Apple difference?
