All data lost? No saves on the server?

Hi all, my phone crashed and I had to restore it from factory. My surprise was that I lost all my data (or it seems). I had a 21 lvl character and now the game starts from the begginning?

Since connectivity is needed to play this game and a google+ account is used in it, is there any backup of my game profile or everything is stored in local storage?

I guess you have a backup of our profiles, otherwise I would be very disappointed with this game...
