So I haven't played in a little bit and just came back to it. Can anybody tell me what the frost, fire, etc symbols with the up and down arrows that come up when you're fighting a zombie mean? Also, do the fire and frost weapons do anything special? Any other tips I need to know? I basically haven't played since the halloween event.

Frost,fire,and poison icons are new elements on weapons, introduced to the game. They don't do anything special...yet. The arrows during battle show what element the zombie is weak at. An up arrow means that the zombie is weak to a specific element while a down arrow means the enemy is resistant to that specific element. For example, a zombie with a frost icon having an up arrow and fire icon with a down arrow shows that it is weak against frost weapons and will likely do more damage to it while it is resistant to fire weapons, and will do less damage to it.
