No troop training, food lost

Hi, hope you can help me out. Tried training some troops this morning about 11:00. Tapped on train but when I went back to main screen the training hall was still sleeping. Tried this a few times , different troop types and then noticed it was taking my food but not doing any training! Hope you can help me out!
