Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world with an altitude of 8163m in central-western Nepal. This area is known as the Manaslu region. Other major peaks in the region are Himalchuri (7893m), Nadhichuri (7871m), Shringi (7178m) and various other snow giants.
