No tasks during parties

The last few times they're have been the weekend party events there's always this glitch where there's no tasks for you to complete when you join someone's party. This will happen to multiple people who join the party or sometimes it's just to one person who joins the party... either way it causes the parties to fail. Does anyone know why this happens? Is it a glitch caused by something we're doing before we start the party or after we've joined? Is there any tricks anyone knows of to make the tasks show?
