Freezes on event gifts

Hi,
Hope all is wel. 

I’ve been experiencing some issues when the game restarts after being running on the background. Whenever I come to the event “page” with the gift boxes, in this case love @ first sight I’m unable to do anything. My avatar is still moving but I’m unable to select anything. Sometimes I would receive a pop up stating there are no videos and then it would work but it hasn’t been popping up for a few hours now and I don’t know what to do. 

iOS 13.4
App version 2.8.2 
restarting my phone was unsuccessful. I haven’t reinstalled the app yet. 

Can someone please help me?
