Are you enjoying a day of rest, while we gear up for what I predict will be more grinding for great prizes this week? I know we all imagine it being anything other than what we've had for the past month or so.....
and one day, I'm sure it will be. But whether it's something different or the same ole same ole....
anytime there is an opportunity to win a TB or any prizes really....I'm there with Bells on.

So, while I get ready for THE BLIZZARD OF MARCH 2017, you'll forgive me for the no frills opening. When mr Weatherman says 2 feet to 30 inches for my area, I clean. I clean, and pray while I clean. So, I'm going to ask you all to help. make a post here, showing us how YOU'D open this Monday thread, while we wait for word of a midweek tomorrow.

Good luck with your blizzard! We're only getting 6 inches, tops, here. And this is only the second time it's snowed this winter. The husky has been so disappointed.

I've noticed more often lately that the midweek event is the same thing as the previous weekend's event. I'm not breaking up with my weekend dates just in case.

Here in the UK, it really feels like Spring is arriving at last. The sun is out, the skies are blue and while it's not exactly warm I don't need my huge winter coat either. We've not really had any snow this winter, but it's been cold and miserable and it's nice to see the sun again.

So both my doll and I will put on our sunglasses and enjoy the weather while we wait for any information Kalinda is kind enough to throw our way.

I'm not far from Elspeth, so over here it is also looking like spring, I love it!! Yesterday the twins spent all day playing in our backyard while I soaked up the sun!

I'm full of anticipation to see if this week will be the Midweek event that I will collect my last Throwback item of this batch!

AHH NYC girl huh? Yes, I'm halfwat between you and the lighthouses on the East End of Long Island. I grew up half a block from the queens line on the south shore. Now i'm a 55 minute trainride from Gyro II. Almost bought my friends apartment on Roosevelt Island, but chose a home in Nassau county. It would have been a very different life. I was working on a manhattan cable show at the time, and a little touch of baby fever pushed me into suburbia Instead. Now, lets talk about Gyro II. Omg yum

I'm originally from Detroit and Moved here to NYC. It's beautiful out where you live I've been out there a few times. I'm actually on the train now going home had to do some running around before the storm comes. Better to be safe than sorry.

Oh, we should have blizzard check in list. If you're anticipating the blizzard of 2017 add your name to this list. Then when the snow comes, we watch for these members to pop in and say they're ok. We've done it with a hurricane. I know we have Carol, koko, ktinaavi..... who else? Jersey, Pennsylvania, Dc, virginia? I know it's the east coast but how far down? Purerhead already said he's working from home, so that only leaves Baba to worry about. He's supposed to work at ten (spring break fom school) and it's close enough, he could walk home but i'm hoping it's heavy enough by the morning for businesses to shut down, rather than have workers come in only to be sent home. And with Puterhead home, I know he'll take care of Baba....so....if i'm connected tap tap tap will these fingers fly as I grind for a TB if we haave such an event. Lol.

I drove to Detroit a few years back. We wre taking Baba to Windsor Canada to meet his internet girlfriend. We made the border crossing in Detroit, and puterhead almost got us arrested. It was this little booth, puterhead thinks the Agent is waving at him, he waves back and starts to drive through. Well, we all started yelling at him, then he backed uo with a ten in ihis hands trying to give it to the Agent who realizes Puterhead is punchy from driving and asks, "sir, are yiu attempting to bribe me?" Omg when both me and Baba started yelling at Puterhead, the Agent felt sorry for him and just processed us through. It was really funny. Plus, he had almost run a stop sign as he was blowing past the American Canadian border patrol, before the attempted bribe with a ten spot. Lol.

Oh, so in honor of your hometown and my fun memory of Detroit........

Omg that is the funniest story! I loved going to Windsor mostly because of the legal age. I loved going to the casino there and play the penny slots.

I wish Glu with stopp doing the exact same event on the weekend and during the week (except for with 5-star gigs), it doesn't help how repetitive the game has been feeling lately.

I won't be doing all boxes this week. I'll probably just get the first 2 black boxes. I'll be stuck inside from the snow storm, I'm on the lower right corner of CT on the border of RI so it's all up in the air as to what we'll get, so hopefully I can also catch up on gigs.
I will definitely get the SMC though!

So I realised the US already switched to Daylight Savings and over here in Europe we did not yet. So, I have to keep in mind that the events start an hour early for me the next two weeks (we switch on March 26).

ETA: Just saw Kalinda's post. Thank you, I will get ready for a dating event then. And will hopefully collect that final Throwback item!!

Please stay safe everyone! Here the weather is starting getting colder finally! However I think it's just for couple of days, well better than nothing.

USA's DST already changed? Guess the events will come back to 6am here from now on.

Ouch! Another date event... I just bought Dublin's, got a k-star back, I went ahead because I knew I wouldn't get a better offer though.

We are supposed to get 4-8" here in Pittsburgh. I was supposed to drive down to Richmond VA yesterday to see my Grandmother one last time before she moves to San Diego but had to cancel my trip because they are expecting up to a foot of snow along my route. We've had such a mild winter and dang snow hits the one time I have a trip planned. Grrrrr

Yeah, the repetition is really getting to me; tedious is an understatement. But with the dating, I finally decided to look at it this way: Glu helping us to achieve the four new gifts from our spouses/SO's...? So for that I'm actually grateful, I only have the dress so far, dying for the shoes...don't know what the third gift is, and the third is a hairstyle...? Other than, I don't really care for the dating events at all. Ughhhh.

Oh wow, sorry about your trip! I feel like it was only 2 weeks ago that I was enjoying the 70+ degree weather, and now Virginia's expecting up to a foot of snow We're projected to get somewhere from 6 to 10 inches in N Virginia. The roads have been salted and everything, so I bet it'll be a big one; not the best way to end a mild winter, but I have the imminent break from classes/work to look forward to at least.

Yay pleased about the change of event, all these recent dating events are killing me! I still haven't been able to afford the Dublin property yet and with a professional event, I may be able to reach the 4th box again like last week... please no more sunglasses or Halloween costumes though lol that's all I seem to get! Surely I must own them all by now haha

Yay! Thank you ! I just finished my "lovers" (7) achievement and got all the items, so it's nice to not have to keep dating! Time to earn back some $$$!

Oh chelsea stay safe. I want you all to promise to not drive in this. Stay inside nice and warm. Baba says the grocery store is crazy today. And whenhe gets off, he has to have the new tire put on puterheads car. 22dollar Concert has cost me about 400$.

Thanks for updatingthe storm list. Does everyone have plenty of food? Batteries, flash lights, water? How about extra blankets if the heat goes out?
