Even though this isn't my favorite out of any recent themes, it's never fun when it's hard to get good scores and this is an especially difficult theme when you don't already have a lot of animal print clothing. I had to use dresses I never use because I don't have much to choose from.
Kkh pro tip: before Black Friday, scroll through the SYS suggestions list and take note of themes that have been suggested. Glu 100% takes inspo from that list. I bought 3 different animal print outfits in anticipation of this theme because I saw it in the suggestions. ALSO now that we have the TB sys, look through past themes and identify ones you struggled with and buy some items that you think will help u the second time around
@ViennaKKH I'm not bothering just because I don't like this theme that much and the items aren't my favorites. I rather use dye for clothing I reuse and themes I actually like. I don't like the bad scores but this theme doesn't feel worth using my dye on. I was also debating seeing if I have enough self control to wait until BF to use them just in case I like how some dyes look on whatever I end up getting.
@therealChar I'm a guy playing with a female doll, but I use my skin tone. I've changed my skin tone twice since the game started because the game can get boring and I wanted to make it fun by recreating my best friends. I can't talk for anyone else but that's why I have. I'm sorry if that offended anyone
@therealChar I've only seen it a few times here, but it looks like people are changing the skin tone so it is more appropriate to wear POC hairstyles. The alternative is seeing white dolls wearing braids and having big curly hair, which a lot of people would consider cultural appropriation. Which would you rather see?

I think it’s just particularly disturbing that we’re seeing typically white dolls having dark skin tones during the “born to be wild” theme with a tropical background. I try to avoid talking about race or politics on here but tbh, ive seen a lot of darker skinned dolls in the voting booth than normal and it makes me cringe as well.

@jhabs I'm on iOS and I've hardly seen darker skin toned dolls in the VB (and I've been in the VB constantly as I'm trying to get a diamond lol). But I can see why people changing their skintone solely because of the "Born to Be Wild" theme can be perceived as disingenuous. Thanks for clarifying.

I didn't even think of the theme, and now I can see how horrible it is 😔 I'm honestly so sorry @therealChar when I posted my looks with a darker skinned doll, it was because I'm seeing my best friend next weekend (which i said) and I haven't seen her in a long time so I recreated her. She loved the looks I made of her, but I understand posting them on this forum is completely out of context, and must be strange seeing a usually white doll posing as a poc.
I wish I could take it back and have only made a look to share with my friend rather than use it in the SYS and share on here, but I promise you I understand why it was wrong and it won't happen again

The only thing I can think of happening is that a doll submits a bunch of extra looks, one after the other. So they have multiple looks that are live at the same time but you are only seeing their most recent look they submitted. Their scores come in for all their looks gradually around the same time which is why their score seems to increase drastically with one outfit when actually it’s with multiple looks. It sometimes can be something a bit more suspicious so it’s good to keep an eye out. Hope I explained that alright 👍

Oh, sorry. I didn't share it frequently but I do this often and shared on the forum because my doll looks very pretty in both brown skin and white.
