You can leave the shoot, take the Metro around LA, even fly around the world and be back in time to finish the event. So if you're pressed for real world time, you can click all the items and get money, XP, and energy in as many places as you need to go back and finish the task you started.

I did the same thing, started ranting about Willow Pape and next thing I know I'm being portrayed as a raving lunatic. Still the shoot results got me most of those lost fans back though.

When you call someone for a date, check the lower left corner before you click on them to start the date. It should tell you how many hearts you have vs. how many you need to get the bonus heart to start the date. If you upgrade your wardrobe, it will then change how the date reacts to your clothes.

Just got my call from Luther again tonight so I guess it is a week in real time to get that $1000.

I would like a simple numeric representation of experience. That way if I only need a dozen or so, I can hit the tappables instead of starting a job and getting a complete refill after using only one or two energy.

Doesn't matter. The game is looking at the total number of stars/hearts you've earned by buying stuff when rating you for a date or appearance/photo shoot. If you don't meet muster, there's a number in the lower left corner that indicates how many stars/hearts you have vs how many you need to get the bonus gold star.

You do get a call from Luther telling you he has your cut of the week's receipts. Got $1000 from him twice now. Most recent was last night, we'll see how long it takes for him to call again, or if it is really a week.

When you go on a date or an appearance/photo shoot, there will be either a gold bonus star/heart if you meet the requirements, or it will show you how many you have vs the requirement to get the bonus.
