WOH thread for 12/17/18

No reveals yet, 40 minutes away.  Last week I landed Altuve on my last cycle,  hoping for similar success at a different position this week. 

On a similar note,  it's become hard to wrap my head around the fact that up until a little over a year ago, there was no WOH event. No CvsC either.  You played your tournaments on Monday, your Slugfest on Wednesday, and that's about it.  Can anyone imagine at this point even wanting to play anymore if neither WOH or CvsC existed?

I think I could get by without CvsC, but not WOH.  Certainly not both.

    I wish slugfest had its day to shine still... that event used to be my favorite until Royale came along and took its thunder... Now its all about WoH.

    the Previous was last week with trouty....this time its Yadi.. I kind of wish it was cool-hair-shades-shoes-hat harper

    I moved to gold tier on Friday and all of the pitchers are still Silver tier. I'm not complaining, but is this wrong? LOL

    EDIT: Ok, weird. They're gold tier now. The first 5 on level 1 were Silver tier.

    Is there any rhyme or reason as to why Stringbean Slinger leads you 2-0 on Monday and 3-0 on Wednesday?

    Last 4 are the same as last Wednesday.  5-7 Chapman (LHP), 5-8 Verlander (RHP), 5-9 Ryan (RHP), 5-10 Jansen (RHP).

    Had heard how much easier WOH is at gold tier. That can be put to bed. I have everybody capped and even upgraded some skills and it actually seems harder this week.

    Second time thru and my team matches the opposing team each manual play. First time it was Altuve on A’s vs Manea, Harper in Sox unit and now Mantle on Cubs! My home team is Dodgers...

    Not real sure what to do with Nolan Ryan. Been there six times now and tried BF Yelich capped with both skills at 17 and War Lord Mathews capped with both skills at 17 and haven't seen a fastball yet.

    Frustrating that glu has increased the difficulty of this event since Black Friday, but not made the rewards better.  I for one will not be spending any gold today to chase the box.

    Until they soften the pitchers, or offer a minimum of 475 player, think I’ll just sit on what I got.
    I'm confused by what you mean by 5.7 and 5.8.  You mean the round and level?

    Jansen is giving me a fit today (again). I have faced him 9 times already (including video retries) and have had nothing but curveballs most of the time. I refuse to spend gold in retries since the box is so bad today.

    2 for 6 off Jansen with Mantle today.  He has either been completely untouchable or a total walk in the park, nothing in between.

    @Wicked0Wildcats I guess not so fast. I just sat through a 45 sec video...then the button disappeared and I didn't get credit for a video boost. *sigh*
