I acquired Miggy Tulo and Uribe from position specific picks. I believe this worked well for me due to all of the inactives I have saved up, but they sure make my lineup look fearsome.
One thing to consider. Uribe and Freeman are both 8/5/2, but Freeman is a lefty. All things even, a lefty will hit for a higher average in this game. I would swap them.

I am completely happy with my team. And also not having to wait 90 seconds to load. I also did not want to have the same team as most other players who did the run. Good luck with your own run at all players guys.
What device are you using and how many inactives do you have that is causes such a lag? I'm using iphone6 with 1006 inactives and I can't even access my team to make changes.
haha whoops forgot that. Tulowitzki is my SS. 9 9 2. And I am using iPhone 6 as well. I skipped late rounders and ended up with about 890 inactives. Just enough to change my lineup, but with difficulty. Pitching could not be accessed. Good luck!
Mixx: you should replace 1B Anthony Rizzo with 1B Adrian Gonzalez. 7 hit over 6 is always preferred, even with Rizzo's 9 power. I'd also take Ortiz out of your lineup and put Yelich in as your DH. Get that 8 hitter into the lineup! Especially over a 6.

Tbatti. yeah Dickey is the Pits...i think you can start a 2.5 star and do better. Imo. I like facing him. Ross is a solid pitcher I have him as my #3 (Just p/u Lester) and he holds his own with a 3.4 era
With the next fan rewards I plan on acquiring Miguel Cabrera to be my new 1st baseman. I was curious should I start Adam Lind 8/6/1, or Yadier Molina 8/4/2? I know Lind has the better power, but I feel like being a RH batter is better than a lefty (correct me if that logic is way off)
I have experience with Molina but not Lind. Molina was solid for me. A lefty batter can have advantages, especially since most pitchers are right handed. I like having a lefty on my bench to come in to pinch hit late in a game to pinch hit for a right-handed batter against a right-handed reliever.

I have 694 inactives, so the game does run slow, but I'm close to knocking out all the rest of the guys under 4.5 stars. I've beaten the Legends once somehow, and have been up 3-0 on them twice since. Lost four straight both those time while giving up over 20 runs in 6/8 of those games. Aggravating as hell.
I finally got my first 5* player Ramirez. After 3 months playing (MVP playoffs). Still need some SP, more 8 or 9 hitters and 2B. Gordon is only hitting .280

I want to say thank you to everyone on the forums for the advice given to me, it's been a huge help in building my team. Danny Duffy is outstanding, and the advice on collecting gold on the leaderboards has helped out a ton especially during the Fan Rewards period as it's allowed me to get both Lester and Miggy.
Still playing the 2014 game:

I don't know why Stubbs isn't a full five stars, with twenty-one points total between hitting, power and speed, but there may be hidden attributes in play: After 738 at bats, Stubbs is barely over the Mendoza line; he can't get on base for $%!#. Contrast that with Willie Bloomquist, who probably has you wondering "what the hell is he still doing on the substitute roster?!" After 530 at bats before I replaced him with Tulo, Bloomquist batted .285. He and Stubbs both have a hit rating of 6. I don't get it, unless again there are hidden attributes in the code. In any case, Willie was my best hitter for a long time and I'm never getting rid of him. I've traded four star players to avoid this (see below).
Rizzo, Seager, Victorino and Bloomquist have been with me from the beginning. Rizzo, Seager and Victorino all got bumps in their game attributes last fall. Victorino was my star player on my initial roster at 3*, while Rizzo and Seager weren't rated anywhere near where they're at now (<3*).
Finally, here's the team I started with, followed by some decent to very good players I've had but ultimately traded away:
Originals
Willie Bloomquist
Shane Victorino
Anthony Rizzo
Kyle Seager
Delmon Young
Andre Ethier
Nick Swisher
Carlos Triunfel
Mark Teixeira

I want to say thank you to everyone on the forums for the advice given to me, it's been a huge help in building my team. Danny Duffy is outstanding, and the advice on collecting gold on the leaderboards has helped out a ton especially during the Fan Rewards period as it's allowed me to get both Lester and Miggy.

Good, still had to 'em go
Wellington Castillo
Junior Lake
Josh Rutledge
Marcell Ozuna
Oswaldo Arcia
