Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.
The New Forum - OFFICIAL DETAILS

Firstly, A forum doesn't cost $150. I can make a full fledged paid hosting managed forum with a .com domain name for under $20 that too if we choose a good paid hosting, cost reduces to almost free on going for free hosting and subdomain.
Firstly, Why spend $150 on some Xeno forum package that anyone has barely heard of when highly reputed paid packages like IPB (Invision Power Board), vBulletin, Vanilla are available? or for that sake even free forum packages with a huge reputation will satisfy your need like SMF, phpBB, AEF?
The tall claims and amount claimed by ppl here makes me feel its just some kids running around without any technical backup.
A forum is not just about moderation and administration. How exactly do you intend to handle if your forum page doesn't show up on the Internet at all and gives some error. Do you have any knowledge of PHP, SQL, MySQL databases, HTML, AJAX to fix it? Do you even know what different protocols like HTTP or FTP mean or what an FTP client is? or let me ask you the most basic question. Do you even know the difference between http:// and https:// ? Apart from that there are tons of problems while using any 3rd party forum software. What if the confirmation mail or password reset from your forum never reaches the members? Will you be able to go directly to the database and get a new password for them or will you be able to dig in the forum php code to fix it? Many more problems which would most probably put you in a loop you can not resolve because you dont have knowledge.
Apart from that, who would register in or even trust your forum and their posts or vouches? No one would. Its very easy to create a page saying you havd vouches there but it will always end up with other ppl asking vouches in official forum or Facebook group.
So if anyone is really planning to invest money on it. I would say reconsider your decision. A website goes nowhere without a real web develper to fix things.

The projected cost of $150 is not excessively high. I do agree that PHPBB might be a better free route, but the exact software and utility choice isn't the issue, the issue is if we want a better private forum than this rampant and un-filtered forum. You're either in or out, theres no option to sit on the side and critique every nit and peck...
You agree that a free forum could be a solution which can be built for under $20. yet you are trying to rip ppl off $150 for getting a paid forum. Why would that be?

Maybe quote the differences that make you spend $150 over a free one with same features?
Or is it just some kind of scam buildup to run off with ppls money when you don't even have one turf car. Or Is it @shtoobie ?

I am pretty sure its just a rip off if not entirely a $150 scam. Make sure you all combine and go to the cops if someone runs off with your $150 next.
Anyways its not my money so I am done with providing my information regarding this. I would never spend a single penny on something like this that appears as a clear ripoff from its description itself.
Anyone who even has a little concern for his hard earned money should ask for information on where is his money going? and why is someone so keen on spending $150 on a website that can be made for under $20?
Bump

While admittantly i don't have some 5 or even 2 years of experience, I do know my way around html, php, css, and a bit of JS.
Secondly, if I have a problem, the other admin has 10 years of experience, so I'm sure he could do it if as big an issue as he claimed should arise.
Which it almost certainly won't because it's a paid software.
Xenforo isn't a sketchy nobody forum engine, as many websites use it, particularly minecraft servers, which evidently makes this a good choice for a gaming community.
And yeah, we could use a cheap or free software, but the simplicity, features, and proffessionalism really isn't the same.
To vladdroid, what do you want me to do, give you admin? I understand your point, I realy do, but this isn't buying perks, this is donating. If you have any perk ideas I'd love to here em, but just understand that you're making a donation here, not a purchase.
For Asandoval, yeah they could I suppose, but you'd have to do it yourself. Which is pretty easy.
And for Kingklutz, I'll give you half credit on that. I had that planned originally, but you made me confirm it
I would really like to help this community out alot like you @shtoobie and if I can't be a judge I could be a guard I guess just I would really like to help this new forum!
