Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.
The new point system will go into effect on Racer Showdown event 2 on Monday that way we can test outside of turf first and ensure it works!

Honestly. This is the worst update I've seen in 3 years playing. Maybe not technically, but conceptually. Just STUPID. I'm going gem team and spending no more real life money on this
Yeah. It's great if you wanna go run 300 maxed R2 cars. Personally nearly all my R2 are Turf cars and not really that tuned. They just look pretty in my garage. I like to be able to pink and make a few points. I suppose I could pink my turf cars, but given A - the level of cheating in the games, and B - the fact I would lost them all sooner or later anyways - I don't want to.
On what level of sanity should a 50 Focus make less points for beating a 50 Enzo than the other way round.
Sorry. Previous updates have caused problems and been mess ups. Fair enough. This is **** IDIOTIC
We'll see; change in and of itself is neither good or bad. Targeted change is usually benefial overall but solutions in search of a problem are a waste of everyone's time. So far I've only heard one voice complaining about the scoring system. I personally never really minded it. Compared to lobby jumping and ghost shifting that was at least once acknowledged as an unintended exploit are far more problematic from my perspective, but that don't count for much.
I will offer a genuine thanks for rolling this out during showdown and the evaluation that is being undertaken.
Basically, you just removed the low stakes, cheap, gambling buzz this game offered. IMO that was it's USP.

This fun little phone game would not be worth the effort/time/money to run T25. It doesn't pay my mortgage or keep my yard mowed.
Taking a stab at T100 once in a while is more than enough for me.
