Way to go Man .... at roughly 2,000 AP (and over 2 days remaining) you're perilously on track to crossing the event horizon ... either decide now to make TOP 30 or back off before it's too late.
The problem you'll be facing is you've practically scored 2 DAYS worth of AP in less than one, but the leaderboard veterans don't play that way; they are only getting started and will finish in a flurry. A rather large financial commitment for a game that may soon be retired ... tread lightly my friend.

This is true ... by eliminating (lowering) the number of players GLU has seemingly solved a problem (temporarily anyways), but at what cost? That's a huge sum of lost revenue; not even the GLUTONS can laugh that off *** SMILES ***
I suppose with MIRN a break in the scenery is a welcome change even if what lurks underneath is the same ole same ole ... you know it's pretty late in the game for this comment, but I always thought it would be nice to be able to change the sights on our weapons. OK I've tried closing some contracts ... it's torture ... cannot do it for more that 15 minutes before I start weeping. I cannot continue my DRONE upgrades without winning PvP matches. I suppose I will have no choice soon but to reenter competition, if for no other reason than to get me some diamonds before I reach retirement age, so at 1 DAY 12 HOURS remaining I'll make my decision ... to compete OR not to compete ???
11:22 AM EDT as to remind me why I'm not competing the game crashes, restarts, win streak snapped at 28 ... Oh yeah ... that's it ... back to reality.
As the field begins to awaken, the above alone will not affect my decision; rather other factors such as the availability of 35 PARTS prize, reaching but NOT exceeding the Silver League milestone of 2,500 AP (at least not by much) and achieving this whilst spending a minimal amount of GOLD (if any at all).
If all three of these key factors converge nicely, then I'm in because that's the way it was designed to be **SMILES**

I don't think I can get 2,500 and qualify for silver league this week. I think I'm going to just play on the weekdays to get the 150 Gold and buy the weapon in the store. It's much easier that way.
Lots of big vaults to plunder on IOS, 20 to 45 K, my current average take is 32-33 K, looking to get 3 or 4 Base upgrades and a Drone level out of the weekend.
And this guy run out of GOLD only one bar left ��. What are the odds of getting the 35 parts just with free energy?

It really depends on how many victories you can register. Using round numbers let's say 50 AP per hour (2 victories); over 24 hours (FREE energy) that's another 1,200 AP by this time tomorrow ... that's your baseline; eight hours sleep, etc. reaches the MAX FREE AP you can score (3 victories; 75 AP per hour), but you cannot loose.
What you need to do is determine how fast you need to register AP and maintain your RANK. Play three hours of free energy (9 victories) and see how large your RANK delta (change) actually is, then you can adjust with use of GOLD if necessary. I find that doubling your AP output per hour is a good starting point; so that's 3 FREE + 3 GOLD battles per hour.
In 4 hours your RANK improved by 4 gaining 500 AP +- ... I would say you're in good shape if you can keep that up. If it's becoming expensive, throttle back by 1/3 to see if that holds.
Either way $20 should take you through the next day ... make adjustments tomorrow if necessary.

I had to grab some GOLD for statistical sampling purposes. Token pressure is present, but nothing that I would term as the GREAT WALL. That being said, I would estimate that a TOP 90 finish would require nearly double my AP scoring output over the next 24 hours. In the old days (if this was for a HEAVY I desperately needed), I would throw the additional GOLD at it and take home the prize.
But these aren't the "old days". I've reached the SILVER LEAGUE milestone and will be satisfied with collecting the 20 PARTS and cruising for the remaining parts in league play .... barring another event cancellation that is **SMILING**
The 11,000 AP scores extend all the way down to RANK #30; no need to post it here...
... and YES ... I"M BACK !!!

Actually gained a few RANKS ... go figure?. A few minutes later, my RANK was back up to #203; strange behavior indeed, I'll need to watch this closely. Then back down to #193 after 3 wins. It's like 10 players moving in lockstep, up and down ... back and forth ... Hmmm
Leaders haven't changed much, but the lower RANKS have ... as long as there is somewhere to go, the traffic keeps moving ... when someone slams on the brakes, the effect cascades through the field, thus the result is in the GREAT WALL. So far that hasn't happened.

Good News is that there are no signs of the GREAT WALL as yet ... however, we do have more than a day ahead of us (cautious optimism).
We must remember than on top of a late start, Android was more than 6 hours behind IOS when the Global finally did get under way.
