(1) Most game play related issues are "reported" by IOS users. This could be for a variety of reasons but given only 1 of 10 players (at best) use an Apple device, this is note worthy.
(2) Most Android users who do report game play issues are using a Samsung device.
(3) More issues are reported from those using smart phones as opposed to tablets.
(4) Very few issues are reported from Amazon players. This could be due to the low number of players who actually use this platform, but it is note worthy.
(5) The most common issues on IOS are related to video and graphics (surprising) while the most common Android issues are related to excessive game restarts (could be problematic).
I wanted to try to isolate game play issues as opposed to other issues such as scheduling of events, not receiving GOLD when expected, complaints about not being able to win, not receiving an expected prize award, and so on.
CONCERNED ... it may very well be a GLU programming glitch that is causing your graphics hiccups; what we need to do now is determine why it seems to come and go. I've noted on several occasions when players were "elated" that the problem was "fixed" only to realize the return of the issue at a later date or time ... Very Very Interesting ... but Very Provocative Too!
I would also mention that "strange behavior" is experienced more often during Global Events and VIP Events on Google. Do you find this to be the case on IOS as well?

I use an iPad 4 with 128 gb for my game play. I seldom experience video lag, but reload after a mission is almost 2 minutes. I agree that it is longer during globals than league days, but the difference is 15-20 seconds. Just offering statistics.

Apple fanatics have been brain washed; I see the lines, the vigils, the hype ... all for a make over of a device they already own, with industry standard specs at best. Nothing spectacular but the price and the fact these devices never work properly (initially).
Apple customers will live and die with these products; I never could quite understand this but then again I'm a technician and have no patience for sentiment ... when one mixes emotions and technology one often makes poor and expensive choices.
But hey, there will always be that minimal market share and loyal following that will never waiver; good or bad they just keep coming back.
Steve Jobs is no longer with us, RIP (hasn't been for quite some time) and yet people refer to him as if he's still involved in the company's daily operations ... I think it's time to move on don't you think?

I won't discredit your observation. And my reference to Mr. Jobs was a minor attempt to poke at that "obsession". I own adherence to the Apple platform stems in part from not wanting to replace the software I have accumulated over the last six years.
I know that with many handheld devices that closing an app does not actually close it, just minimizes it to the background. This occupies memory and battery. Since handheld devices use the same memory for both storage and computation, too many minimized apps or too many apps loaded can reduce the available computing power of the device.
I have long had the desire to be able to upgrade tablets like laptops. But so far no manufacturer has seen fit to meander down that path. And Apple does not have a SD port for additional storage.

I am currently playing both MIRN and CKS on different iPads. Both iPads are experiencing video issues. Every video issue only occurs in the PVP module. It does not matter whether it is global or league play. Every other part of the app, video wise, works perfectly. As a routine, I always shut the app down before starting PVP battles, to clear up the memory heap. If I don't, then it is practically a guarantee that the battle screen will crash. Either while trying to load the battle or else right in the middle of the battle.
Until the TOOBAD strategy, this was extremely frustrating because of win streaks ending. Since winning weapon parts is no longer important, a win streak ending is now "oh well, it happened again" and also, being able to go to sleep at a reasonable time does make the game some what enjoyable again.

The SD adapters are available, but the OS doesn't like them. I have one and fight it constantly. It requires an additional app to access any files on it and those files don't necessarily get to be used by other apps on the iPad. Like GLU, Apple for the longest time has had a very high opinion of itself. I got into the iPad through work (gave me my first one) and have enjoyed using it over the last four years.
I too shut down the game and remove it from the background periodically to force a restart of the memory space.

What you say? 17.5 TESLA sort of makes sense since we've been stuck at 15.5 for awhile now and there's a 15.5 ASSAULT at 750 GOLD and a 16.5 SNIPER at VIP Top Prize ... this might be a chance to jump 2 FULL LEVELS above the prevailing TIER if we ever get one.

I may regret this since there's never any guarantees when it comes to GLU,, but I'm going to wait until the Friday VIP Event (hopefully) and load up one time and try to get all the weapons at once ... this might change over the next 24 hours, however ... Gulp! ... I've patiently waited for two (2) months, a few more days won't hurt ... I HOPE ... besides what I really want is that HEAVY.
The BLACK HOLE can hold it's own for now and I won't need t worry right away about a TIER 15 LONG Defense, if we ever get one.

Scorpion, I have spent the whole day fighting with Glu over my second $100 buy in which is still lost. Finally I bought in again and was successful in getting the Aphrodite and the Blackthorn. The Aphrodite is remarkable, but as a fan of the Assault weapon, you will go nuts with the Blackthorn. 17.5, 8.19M in the box, kicks the butt of my 15.5,4.07M Silk before any upgrades. This will be my first serious go to PVP Assault weapon in months.
I know you would thought that you would never get me to buy into your long repeated assertion that the Assault is an inherently superior weapon to the Heavy, but this one just may be.
First level upgrades for 17.5 weapons is 3.92M. Ouch! This means that they cannot be upgraded beyond the first tier without a Tier 15 Vault. Good news is that the Blackthorn is mostly upgradeable with game bucks.
One of the attractions of getting through a cycle with an Assault weapon, rather than a Heavy, is that the upgrade costs in Diamonds are 1/4 of the the upgrade cost for a Heavy.
The other side of this is the point that you make which is that the next Global will most likely offer a massive 17.5 Heavy and you won't have to stop to reload it, but it is going to be massively expensive t upgrade. Decisions, decisions!
Don't let me talk you into taking this VIP, but if you do,here is the best strategy: Stop at 5750 when you win the Blackthorn and use game $ and Gold to upgrade until you run out of game $. You want to do this because the upgrades beyond the first level are larger than our current Tier 14 vaults. Having used Gold to upgrade the Blackthorn as far as possible, then run up to 7K and the Aphrodite. I didn't think of this until it was too late, but this is a rare example of the appropriate use of Gold rather than Diamonds to upgrade.

I also wanted to share some interesting statistics before I turn in ...
(1) Most game play related issues are "reported" by IOS users. This could be for a variety of reasons but given only 1 of 10 players (at best) use an Apple device, this is note worthy.
(2) Most Android users who do report game play issues are using a Samsung device.
(3) More issues are reported from those using smart phones as opposed to tablets.
(4) Very few issues are reported from Amazon players. This could be due to the low number of players who actually use this platform, but it is note worthy.
(5) The most common issues on IOS are related to video and graphics (surprising) while the most common Android issues are related to excessive game restarts (could be problematic).
I wanted to try to isolate game play issues as opposed to other issues such as scheduling of events, not receiving GOLD when expected, complaints about not being able to win, not receiving an expected prize award, and so on.
CONCERNED ... it may very well be a GLU programming glitch that is causing your graphics hiccups; what we need to do now is determine why it seems to come and go. I've noted on several occasions when players were "elated" that the problem was "fixed" only to realize the return of the issue at a later date or time ... Very Very Interesting ... but Very Provocative Too!
I would also mention that "strange behavior" is experienced more often during Global Events and VIP Events on Google. Do you find this to be the case on IOS as well?
We are doing HANDLES' job again; I know he's gone (RIP) but hey let's pass it on to the developers, shall we?

I use an iPad 4 with 128 gb for my game play. I seldom experience video lag, but reload after a mission is almost 2 minutes. I agree that it is longer during globals than league days, but the difference is 15-20 seconds. Just offering statistics.

iPads come in 16, 32, 64 and 128 gb. Mine is third generation. I always have several apps running in the background.
Also of note: iOS still has modern slavers as new.

Maybe you can explain why some (you included) have no problems to speak of and why others with the same device experience game play issues? I'm determined to figure out why.
I offer an unsolicited observation; take it for what it's worth ...
Apple fanatics have been brain washed; I see the lines, the vigils, the hype ... all for a make over of a device they already own, with industry standard specs at best. Nothing spectacular but the price and the fact these devices never work properly (initially).
Apple customers will live and die with these products; I never could quite understand this but then again I'm a technician and have no patience for sentiment ... when one mixes emotions and technology one often makes poor and expensive choices.
But hey, there will always be that minimal market share and loyal following that will never waiver; good or bad they just keep coming back.
Steve Jobs is no longer with us, RIP (hasn't been for quite some time) and yet people refer to him as if he's still involved in the company's daily operations ... I think it's time to move on don't you think?

I won't discredit your observation. And my reference to Mr. Jobs was a minor attempt to poke at that "obsession". I own adherence to the Apple platform stems in part from not wanting to replace the software I have accumulated over the last six years.
I know that with many handheld devices that closing an app does not actually close it, just minimizes it to the background. This occupies memory and battery. Since handheld devices use the same memory for both storage and computation, too many minimized apps or too many apps loaded can reduce the available computing power of the device.
I have long had the desire to be able to upgrade tablets like laptops. But so far no manufacturer has seen fit to meander down that path. And Apple does not have a SD port for additional storage.
I am currently playing both MIRN and CKS on different iPads. Both iPads are experiencing video issues. Every video issue only occurs in the PVP module. It does not matter whether it is global or league play. Every other part of the app, video wise, works perfectly. As a routine, I always shut the app down before starting PVP battles, to clear up the memory heap. If I don't, then it is practically a guarantee that the battle screen will crash. Either while trying to load the battle or else right in the middle of the battle.
Until the TOOBAD strategy, this was extremely frustrating because of win streaks ending. Since winning weapon parts is no longer important, a win streak ending is now "oh well, it happened again" and also, being able to go to sleep at a reasonable time does make the game some what enjoyable again.
YEP TOOBAD has a way of doing that **SMILES** I may need to pickup an iPad to get to the bottom of this. I wanted to have one anyway for the experience, YNOT solve a mystery while I'm at it.
I know that's a common complaint with regards to SD Card, but I believe you have a USB or FIREWIRE port right? There are USB(FW)-to-SD card adapters available that are just as good, but with 128 GB of storage space, who cares ... unless you've collected many videos or movies. The adapters are quite cheap on Amazon, just make sure you're USB port (even firewire port) adapter is compatible with your device. At least you can backup your music and video collection which is always a good idea.
The SD adapters are available, but the OS doesn't like them. I have one and fight it constantly. It requires an additional app to access any files on it and those files don't necessarily get to be used by other apps on the iPad. Like GLU, Apple for the longest time has had a very high opinion of itself. I got into the iPad through work (gave me my first one) and have enjoyed using it over the last four years.
I too shut down the game and remove it from the background periodically to force a restart of the memory space.

What the hell ... it seems like that's all the GLers play for these days HEAVIES. But I think this week belongs to you BRAD, I agree the 16.5 TESLA is probably the Super VIP prize and Friday will bring a pair of 16.5 SHORT RANGE weapons; it sure is tempting to TOOBAD twice this week.
But here's the gamble ... this same 16.5 TESLA could be the VIP prize Friday, but then again it might not ... feeling lucky today my man?

What you say? 17.5 TESLA sort of makes sense since we've been stuck at 15.5 for awhile now and there's a 15.5 ASSAULT at 750 GOLD and a 16.5 SNIPER at VIP Top Prize ... this might be a chance to jump 2 FULL LEVELS above the prevailing TIER if we ever get one.

I know you would thought that you would never get me to buy into your long repeated assertion that the Assault is an inherently superior weapon to the Heavy, but this one just may be.
First level upgrades for 17.5 weapons is 3.92M. Ouch! This means that they cannot be upgraded beyond the first tier without a Tier 15 Vault. Good news is that the Blackthorn is mostly upgradeable with game bucks.
One of the attractions of getting through a cycle with an Assault weapon, rather than a Heavy, is that the upgrade costs in Diamonds are 1/4 of the the upgrade cost for a Heavy.
The other side of this is the point that you make which is that the next Global will most likely offer a massive 17.5 Heavy and you won't have to stop to reload it, but it is going to be massively expensive t upgrade. Decisions, decisions!
Don't let me talk you into taking this VIP, but if you do,here is the best strategy: Stop at 5750 when you win the Blackthorn and use game $ and Gold to upgrade until you run out of game $. You want to do this because the upgrades beyond the first level are larger than our current Tier 14 vaults. Having used Gold to upgrade the Blackthorn as far as possible, then run up to 7K and the Aphrodite. I didn't think of this until it was too late, but this is a rare example of the appropriate use of Gold rather than Diamonds to upgrade.
