Welcome to the "official" start of the TIER 21 battle cycle.
First things first, and for those that recently battled their hearts out in the Global:
720 GOLD: 20.5 SQUID TESLA - 117.96M-180.88M (former TOP 10 prize) is available in The Store.
... and YES ... not only is this a better weapon than the TOP 30 20.5 CUTTLEFISH, but I would estimate that 3,000-3,500 GOLD (or more) in Global PvP battles would have been required to win this sale item ...
... now going for a fraction of that total. That pain you're feeling in your stomach is GLU's iron boot.
Even the non-combatants (pacifists) over at Amazon, should be able to feel this one.
But today we have "peashooters"; the 21.5 variety SNIPER RIFLES:

Wow 720 Gold for that TESLA, then Android players need to jump on this VIP, if the need that weapon.
It sounds like GLU still doesn't like Android. The IOS VIP is probably more to your liking, Scorpion.

My thoughts would be that this upgrade is not really worth going crazy over. Try for the Top 90, but if the numbers get too wild, then go for the Top 250 and take my chances in Silver.

Agree ... the numbers don't justify the effort. The FOX is a VIP weapon, the CORSAC is a top 30 WEAPON and as you can see that makes a huge difference in the bottom line.
So unless the CORSAC literally "falls in your lap", I would pass on this event ... that's what I'm doing.
The VIP on Google Play is a 24 hour "hangover" from the last VIP Event; it actually never changed
It's this type of attention to details that drives me nuts regarding the GLUTONS. It's like they sit around the table and say "screw them, they'll take whatever we give them". Well SCREW YOU GLU !!!
None the matter though because I will NEVER participate in a Super VIP Event EVER AGAIN ... I'm done

Moving up the Leaderboard is not an easy feat. At 2 points a win, it takes a whole hell of a lot of wins.
But I can see making the effort to move up the All Time Leaderboard. Your name will be there for months.
What I don't see are the people that are doing it in Global. Your name is at the top of the leaderboard for what, 3 days max? Then when you factor in the fact that 10th place won the same weapon, that you did not even need, I just don't see the benefit.
But then, when spending money is irrelevant, I, still, just don't understand doing in Global.
Here is to your name being on top for as long as CKS lasts.

Yeah I was thinking that this morning. The last VIP should have ended yesterday with another due to start tomorrow, so it definitely is possible we'll see another VIP Event tomorrow. Maybe somehow with the TIER 21 delay, everything else got shuffled as a consequence ... doesn't make much sense to me, but in The World of GLU, anything is possible.
1st ever back-to-back rollover from one VIP straight into another ...
... if it does occur.
Maybe it will become the norm? VIP for everyone, 24x7x365 ... wouldn't that be something?
On the IOS platform, Monday's VIP Said that it was going to last for 4 days, which should have been tonight. But this morning, a new VIP started it is going to last for 4 days. So it looks like we are having back-to-back VIPs, except the first one ended early.
Understood ... then I'm sure the TIER 21 delay is the root cause since we were still at TIER 20 as recently as yesterday. Really doesn't make much difference though, if you're going to buy into a VIP event it won't take very long to reach your objective(s).
On another note about TIER 21, I can confirm that there are many more LR battles that are 900K+ than SR battles. All of the 1M+ vaults have been LR battles so I attribute that to the FOX once again ... what an asset that peashooter has turned out to be eh? One solid month of maximum vaults
Yep a definite asset. I am pretty close to averaging about 960K per vault. Then when you add in the 2.12M from my HQ Vault, I am averaging almost 1.3M a vault. So it is taking around 45 battles to fill the vault. That is around 15 hours of free play, which is not too shabby.

I've got about 2,600 GOLD left over from the last cycle gathering dust; maybe grabbing this 21.5 ASSAULT would get the juices flowing again ... besides I'm curious what it would do for vault payouts.
But the real question (800 lb. gorilla in the room) is do I really feel motivated enough to progress through another TIER? Better yet, I'd like to see some development progress made in Clan Wars. I know it's a stretch ("leap of faith").

The Super VIP is revealed AFTER you spend 5,000 GOLD. There are definitely 22.5 weapons up there so I'm not sure what BRAD is looking for since it doesn't get any better than that
The top prize will cost somewhere between 9,000 and 10,000 GOLD.
If I'm going to participate in VIP it won't be for a weapon I could win in the Global, that's for sure. But there are never any guarantees ... a 22.5 ASSAULT might get my attention though
Actually I'm surprised Sir Brad hasn't informed us as to what lies atop the Super VIP? Unless he doesn't want us to know LOL He was once the "hunter", now that he's #1 he has become the "hunted" ...
