The problem here is that if you acquire the 14.5 SPEAR ELITE that is what the CKS match making algorithm will use to find opponents for LONG battles. At TIER 10, your player health cannot survive many hits. I wouldn't say it will become impossible to win, but it will be extremely difficult and will most likely add more costs in medkits and grenades.
As a rule of thumb, your weapons should be no more than 1 ratings above / below your BASE TIER, so at TIER 10 your ideal weapons would be 9.5, 10.5, 11.5 your HEAVY at 12.5 is the exception as SHORT range weapons can be 1 rating above that, so right now a better TESLA rated at 12.0-13.0 would help you but that 14.5 SNIPER will screw you.
If you really want that weapon, be prepared to upgrade your BASE TIERs rather quickly. If you don't want to do that, then pass on the SNIPER (via VIP) and just buy the ANGEL ELITE. It's a good weapon and should last you through TIER 12. Also you shouldn't see any opponents above TIER 13 for LONG battles. That SNIPER will match you against the toughest opponents the game has to offer.
Now how do you get one without the other? Not possible for at least another four days when the VIP event expires.
I recommend you upgrade your BASE TIERS. I know its time consuming, but if you don't you'll lock yourself into your current weapons and that's no fun ** SMILES **

The DOBERMAN will cause the same problem, just not as bad ... 12.5 is really your upper limit, unless you plan to upgrade to TIER 11 soon.

Oh how I miss the thrill of The Hunt, there is no substitute ... I'm afraid my days may be numbered. GLU has a way of taking the wind out of your sail; nothing specific, just being GLU. I'll get over it in time, maybe it's time for a break. It's just the tedious, repetitive, never changing nature of the game that gets to me at times.
A single new game map or battle scenario would help ... a new prize, say 5M diamonds would be nice too.

Oh btw the vault take on Google has dropped dramatically ... down to 55K on average ... occasionally I'll hit a few 100k+ vaults. It appears that vault sizes are coming in at random also, last week I would see 60-70K vaults one after the other; I can't explain this.

I was just noticing a change in matchups on IOS as well. I am still finding 70 K opponents, but only after rejected a large number of matchups. Nothing bigger than 88 K for me.
It's SCORPION's turn to blow off some steam and whine a little ... I know but yeah, I have my moments.
Whilst I can appreciate AND accept these 3K, 7K, 10K, 20K, 40K diamond prizes, they're really nothing more than a single PvP victory, so where's the "prize value" in that? They've been that way for as long as I can remember. AND what's the deal with all of these fracking FLUTE parts? I must have enough to craft an entire woodwind section. The FLUTE was nice when we were at TIER 11, but come on ... this is ridiculous.
Each new region brings more diamond expenses in the form of upgrades so how about an increase in prize value as well? I'm not talking a few hundred thousand diamonds either ...

They don't upgrade the VIP parts, they have destroyed the Silver League and nobody has even crafted a weapon out of the Gold League in weeks. Glu is clearly ignoring weapons parts and so should we.

AGREED ... do away with the whole concept of parts, but we must replace it with something useful and that brings me full circle to a post thread I started, jeez it's been that long, back in late June. The entire prize award structure needs to be redesigned for ALL aspects of the game. These prizes are many months old, they haven't even kept pace with the TIER du jour. Even VIP/Super VIP has little to offer other than top weapons, so what the hell ... put them up for sale and call it a day.

Also, I was so low on supplies by the time the VIP event came around that I was less than 2,000 GOLD away from the BLACK HOLE. You on the other hand can grab the QUAZAR for half the price.
GO FOR IT ... but be ready to upgrade it. If you leave it unequipped for more than a week or so, you'll have the same situation next month ... i.e. TESLA GLUT
With TESLA GLUT and HEAVY ON DEMAND, maybe we should become arms dealers. **SMILES**

I assume I will have to upgrade before it starts to cook. I went back to the Flare, which is working great, and will use it until after the Tesla Global in two weeks. I will then hold a "Bake Off" to decide which Tesla to upgrade in preparation for Level 15. Meantime, it is back to those 4 XP modules. Drone now at 470 K, and I will not move to other priorities until I hit 510K.
