    Anyone get into the game at all on 8.4.1 ? Still Stuck at Zero.

    TRIED with Android Samsung S4 - through Google Play - downloaded game -
    With No Official Sign in to the Game other than Google's Email, it assumes your new player day 1.
    When I'm Lev 140.

    Obviously ipad was done through mac mail & iTunes.
    This is the most dorked up deal ever.

    The restore has to bring back back the original game. Do you have another Apple device, iPhone5 or iPad2 or better that you can erase and try the restore on? If your backup contains your original game, then it will be on be on the second device. Then you can troubleshoot the iPhone 6+ game issue.

    The steps that I listed are also the steps to move the game to a new device.

    The only other thought would be, make sure that you are restoring the correct backup.

    When I am logged into my computer, I will also post info from a "closed" thread that GLU posted about backing up game info and moving game info. I guess because it is a closed thread the iPad is not letting me copy it.

    For Apple via iTunes App Store:

    As stated earlier, Glu’s games store their saved progress on the local device only. The games do not, in themselves, back up their data elsewhere. However Apple devices do provide a means of backing up to iTunes or iCloud, and that is how one may back up one’s saved game. A few Glu titles, as a convenience, have an iCloud icon within the game which provides easy access to Apple’s iCloud service for backing up that game’s data. For those titles, we recommend taking advantage of that feature - back up frequently!

    For games without this in-game icon, your game data will be saved when you perform a full device backup. As every computer user knows, frequent backups are essential.

    TO TRANSFER YOUR GAME TO A NEW iOS DEVICE: Start by doing a FULL BACKUP of your original device, either to the PC’s Tunes app or to iCloud. For maximum safety, we recommend doing both: back up first to iTunes, then to iCloud. When backing to iCloud, make note of the account you use on that device. It is recommended that you go to Settings > General > About > Name and rename your device something other than the default, so there is no confusion as to which device’s backup is which. DON’T TAKE CHANCES! Do your backup and restore on a high-speed WiFi network. A 3G or 4G carrier network is likely to be much less reliable.

    If you are restoring the data to an older model device than that which you backed up from, first make note of the operating system versions. Devices with an iOS version prior to iOS 5 do not support iCloud. Note that your game may not perform the same on an older model device as on your newer one. Once your device has been backed up, you may then use the restore feature on your second device:

    When setting up the device to which you wish to transfer your saved data, do NOT select “Set up as new iPad.” Choose “Restore from iTunes” or “Restore from iCloud.” The backup you have just done will download to your new device with all the data intact.

    IMPORTANT! Give the restore plenty of time to complete! It may seem like the backup is finished when your device first re-starts, but Restore needs to go through several steps. Keep an eye on the progress bar. Backups of large amounts of data can take a half hour or more. Disconnecting before backup is finished will cause all kinds of problems with missing data.

    For Android via Google Play:

    When you get your new Android device, the very first thing it asks you when you turn it on is "do you want to create a Google account or login with your existing account?, You want to select "Login with your existing account" and make sure you login with the exact same Google email address that you used on your previous device.

    At that point Google will know what apps you had and will ask you if you want to transfer all apps to this new device. You select yes and wait. You better be on a fast and reliable wireless network as the phone carrier data connection will not be a good idea here even if you have 4G.

    Please wait for a long time before accessing any of the new downloaded apps, Google is updating in the background and it may take several hours to download all your apps depending on how many you have and how big they are. Do NOT interrupt this operation and let the phone download everything , I would wait for the whole day to go through before attempting to play games on the new device.

    When this is completed, some games will resume from where you left off and some will not. We cannot guarantee which ones do that, it all depends on your Google operation when you transfer these apps.

    This is the most effective way to use a new Android device and copy all your previously used apps on the old device. Please remember this is via Google play Store and not Amazon Kindle Fire, Amazon uses a different setup more proprietary to their app store.

    None of what you say makes sense. If that is the case then GLU's problems are more widespread than even I thought. If you remove iPad, iPhone, Samsung phones and tablets (I didn't mention I had tried it on Lenovo tablets and HTC phones) then you've removed a large potion of the portable game playing devices. Unless the people at GLU only use HTC or LG for testing purposes I hardly see how they missed all of the issues.

    Still no one has said if they can load the game on 8.4.1 - iPad Air.
    I just backed up to iCloud today for the first time.

    With the new game update that won't start.
    I can't find anyone who has done the step of backup at this stage & reset the iPad -
    reload the game or what ever the - steps are.

    This is the most retarded process of not knowing the outcome first.
    At level 140, makes a difference vs just starting as new player, where who cares what happens then.

    No way to tell - if ios9 should be done now,
    & maybe lose all data of game like what has been heard of happening.

    Or wait till game is up and running first - to make sure all status is current as 140 lev.
    This is such a dorked up process of not knowing - what move to make next.

    Those that did have backup - what game version was used from backup -
    So far - I'm on new game update that won't start with ios 8.4.1, and backup done at this point only.

    This is ridiculous. I have been playing this game for several years and have put up with all the lagging refresh rates, the slow overall game play, the losing gold, the loss of diamonds. The loss of PVP matches because the game freezes. I was promised by one of the GLU administrators that everything will be addressed with the next update. To please be patient. I have spent way more time devoted to this game trying to improve my position and to try and get the enjoyment that I have spent several hundreds of dollars on. Now I download the new update that was supposed to fix everything and I am stuck loading the game the same as others on here at 0%. No way to get into the game. Do you all test these updates? DO you anything other than take people's money and make empty promises? NO you do not!! Not that this will help but IPAD Air, iOS 9.01 screen name FUCTHISGAME. FIX THIS AND COMPENSATE YOUR CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE SPENT MONEY ON A PRODUCT THAT CAN NO LONGER BE PLAYED CURRENTLY!!

    I did my backup after the update and I found that the game would not load. I was having the same problem after the update. the game would start to load and once it either Loading Resources (70%) or else Collecting Packs (0%), the game would freeze and eventually after a minute or two crash to the desktop.

    So to recap, the game was working fine, then the 3.1.1 update was released and downloaded. The game would freeze during loading. I, then did a backup (both to iTunes and iCloud). I deleted the CKS app and for no particular reason, I did a hard restart of the iPad. I then reinstalled the app and when I started the app, I had a brand new game that loaded with no problem, except all of my progress was gone. I then closed the app and restored the backup. When I restarted the game, everything was working just fine. The game loaded with no problem and all of my progress was back. This is what worked for me.

    I can not offer any insight to using the iPad Air, I only have the following iPad2, iPad4, and an iPad Mini3. All of the iPads are running either 9.0.1 or 9.0.2. If I had my druthers, I would be running 8.4.1. As far as I can tell, all 9.0 does for you is to allow you to run several apps at the same time. All of the iPads are the 16gb models.

    As a final note, I am NOT an "Apple" person, so I don't have any great insight into the workings of the equipment. I am a IBM compatible person, who tolerates Apple equipment.

    Unfortunately, most of the apps are written for the iPad, and not the Microsoft Surface. LOL. Added to the fact, that my daughter and granddaughters are all using iPads, I did not have much of a choice. In fact, the iPad2 was a granddaughter hand me down. They are such "deprived" children. Even the 6 year old has their own iPhone (I don't know if it is active), LOL

    In fact, when ever I have an iPad or an iPhone problem or question, I go to my 8 year old grand daughter for the answer. Then, I usually have to ask her to show me that fix again, only this time a little bit slower.

    Microsoft Surface? Now that's a joke ... a failed product doomed from the very start. MS should just concentrate on the data center and leave this particular market to Apple and Android et al.

    Very true, but then for the IBM world, there is not much available. Your have the Surface and then there was the Windows phone. I can think of much else.

    So the choice was between Apple and Android and since my most of my immediate family was Apple, I went that way.

    Yeah Glu. Instead of fixing the problems you already have with the game, create new ones. I play other games connected to facebook, which I do not have, and it is a pain. I what to PLAY the game not go around facebook pop ups. Fix the lag, fix the drop outs, fix the load issues, fix your own security so you do not have porn streaming into forums, fix the problems ad do not create new ones.

    Any idea on what the issue or issues for CKS on Amazon for Android users? I try to get in the game and it says upgrade needed, then redirects to Amazon's page for CKS. There is an open button but it does nothing when you click it.

    You definitely need the update from Amazon Store. I'm not sure why nothing happens when you click open; is there some override you can use to force the install?

    It depends what device you have. If it's a Kindle, I've heard you have to restart the device to discover the updates (sometimes, several times). You also don't want to be running CKS during this process. If you're running a standard Android device, it would be through the Amazon App store update tab. Click the top left 3 dots icon, go to My Apps, tab to Updates, and hit the refresh icon in the top right corner. It should then see that CKS needs to be updated.

    I am going to give this a try. Thank you all for the replies to my post. I use a LG 3 andrid phone.

    I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Mine is saying "Device is not compatible with this update"... Any ideas? I just bought two new guns.

    Well, obviously they made a change in this last updt 4 the worse, as in the last 5 hrs, i was attacked 4x. This hasnt happened since 3.0 (i think) came out several months ago. The most ive been attacked after that updt was 2x. This is not a good sign.

    So, you've never attacked another real player in the last several months? Not all PVP are bots, it used to be only real players, and I'm very thankful GLU has introduced bots to resolve the opponent not found message!

    There is a lot involved in being attacked. If you were not being attacked, then consider yourself extremely lucky.

    In a 5 hour period, I have been attacked as many as 6 to 8 times.

    If you are an active player, then depending on how many RL players that you have attacked, that will factor in to the process. Also, when you are off line, how many diamonds are in your vault? How fast does your HQ generate diamonds? What is your Base Tier now?

    All of the above will play a factor into whether or not you are an attractive target. There is nothing in the battle algorithm, that I know of that says once you have been attacked, then you are safe from future attacks. In fact, I have been attacked minutes apart. The worst was in a 7 min time span, I was attacked 3 times.
