Well, I regretted it quickly and changed it, and have since changed his clothes too. But I just saw him in Luz's game, and the initial come-on is still there, as is the suit! Yeesh! Hi Moony! I think people wished that the update had given us a greater flavor of Japan, that the update itself could have capitalized more thoroughly on the country! I'd really been wishing the we'd see a hint of an old temple, or a Snow Monkey preserve, or something. <well, maybe Snow Monkeys were never too likely, but it would have been so cool!> and after we had that beautiful mountainous photo-booth from Armenia, I'd gotten my hopes up about a Japanese landscape photo-booth, too!
I really don't think anybody meant to diss Japan itself, but probably meant that they'd love to have seen something more specific to Japan than the cityscape that appeared. I personally thought the neighborhood that they created was totally adorable, but if it wouldn't have been too costly with public relations, permissions, or maybe even copyright issues, I would have preferred actual scenes from tourist destinations in Japan...
Japan is gorgeous and fascinating to visit! My sister was there often, and I was so jealous seeing her travel photos.
I'm off to study Stellan's closet more closely, looking for that coat. Where his device has a tiny little screen, I'm probably not seeing his actual clothing clearly enough! <edit: and now I've offended him: he says that the screen isn't tiny, it's at least average, or maybe a little larger than average really, and I'm such a j e r k.
