@KalindaKing just wondering if you could answer this one too - when we submit a look with 15 seconds left on the clock, how do those votes get calculated?
Thank you Kalinda for addressing it, hopefully Glu stays by that statement. I understand the technical difficulties, but please give those votes to real players already, if their outfit got a vote in the 2021 Paris SYS then they deserve that vote in the 2021 Paris SYS. Otherwise this method manufactures lower scores on average.
There are still people voting, if they vote on an old look then that vote is void. Your system should include giving that vote to the doll who provided that look.
"It could happen to anyone and it shouldn’t give anyone an advantage or disadvantage over other players."
This is incorrect. If we ignore the competition side of SYS, adding "old looks from real players" means people get less votes on average. Ticket buyers are meant to have an advantage over other players in the competition, but when it comes to earnables you have given free players a disadvantage. Now we get less votes because a portion of the votes go to "old looks from real players" and thus become void. As you can see by everyone sharing their experience, earning the last earnable has become significantly more difficult opposed to non-free players.
I do understand the need for more activity in the voting booth, I do, but this does impact us and we've talked about this numerous times. I think we are all reasonable players here and we don't expect a wonder (even though we hope for it), but can't you just take this into consideration and maybe change the votes required for the earnables? Someone at Glu should be able to see how many dolls get the last earnable and how that changed from the old SYS system. Maybe we're wrong, but this forum documents the same thing happening over and over again.
Why is the call being moved to the day of SYS? I don’t understand, the call was fine the day before. This doesn’t give us enough time to plan looks pls. @KalindaKing
If you submit a look too close to the end of the event, it may not be shown to the max number of players. The votes you get from your last look will be counted and calculated during the 20-minute delay.

with the call being changed to a later time that basically means we have less time to prepare looks based off what kim says- this feels off- why are they even focusing on something as small as a call (which was fine as it was) when there’s other issues within the game they need to be prioritising?
@KalindaKing your explanation said older looks were used for the bots, but @Jabberwooh 's bot was from her everyday doll and wasn't submitted to SYS at all...
@KalindaKing why are things no one asked for always being implemented before the things people did ask for? who asked for the call to be moved? 💀 how are we supposed to plan looks and get inspo right when the sys starts??? the TS and earnables often times don’t match the theme/call (ex. fashion forward looked casual but it was a gown theme)
bots are definitely a disadvantage because if a bot gets a vote that should’ve went to a player then the player is missing out on votes?? the whole post was literally just filler.

.... so basically you’re admitting that if you submit a look too close to the end that a glu algorithm calculates a score for you? glad to have some confirmation that this is a real thing since it’s been obvious for months.

i find it hard to believe that 55 people voted for this when i submitted it less than 1 minute before the event was over. what scores are being calculated? glu’s randomizer?😩
If it's not possible to show new looks from new Show Your Style submissions, then the game might show other looks in the voting booth. This may be more likely to happen at the beginning of a new update. The server can't calculate all votes received at the end of the event immediately, so we process the last submissions during the 20-minute delay.

@KalindaKing So let me get this clear, after spending months on testing throwback SYS, new SYS system that no one asked for can appear out of blue but the changes we want and have mentioned for a few updates now can take a while? I don’t understand this logic. Why does the forum exists if not for the communication of expectations, requests and suggestions of players.
But, @KalindaKing, that's not true is it? It is not "old looks", proven by my own (and several others) bot not wearing an SYS submission, but instead our everyday wear. I know for a fact that I have never submitted the look that my bot wore, because I purposefully take off my septum ring and change my hair color every time I submit a look because I know that those features don't score well.
"it shouldn’t give anyone an advantage or disadvantage over other players."
This also seems untrue, since you have admitted in this thread that each look is shown a finite amount of times before your score is set. Let's draw a little example, shall we?
Let's say someone submits a look, we'll call them "HonestPlayer666". It's great and on theme and it is shown (we will assume) 60 amount of times to voters. In 40 of those, HonestPlayer666 is put up against players who have also submitted their looks recently, where the most deserving look gets the point. The remaining 20 times that HonestPlayer666's look is shown they go up against my bot, "Botterwooh". Turns out that my bot is accidentally on theme, so it scores the point from HonestPlayer666. What happens to that point exactly? Is it given to me, Jabberwooh, who's the original owner of the look? No. It couldn't. I haven't even started the event, and I have no points. And it doesn't go to HonestPlayer666, so should we assume that it is thrown out in the void? Since the look is shown a finite amount of times in VB, then every time that a bot gets a point, you (GLU) are stealing from a legit player who could get it.
You know what, let's spin this web further. I am guessing these bots are also put in TS groups amongst legit players? And what is beautiful with that is that GLU could give their bots using "old looks from real players" an infinite amount of tickets, pressuring real legit players to spend real money to beat what is essentially unbeatable. Sounds like a great business idea, don't you think? Someone should get on that! Except... that would not be allowed, so you surely aren't doing that? Turns out that app stores have policies, and they tend to not like false advertising, or promoting gambling to children. In fact, you state in-game that you play against "other players" in SYS. That has proven to be false now. And if you do have bots in your TS group, controlled by a corporation that can give them literal infinite points if they so wish, that starts to sound more like gambling, spending real money to try to beat something unbeatable. Very reminiscent of casinos where "the house always wins".
Kalinda I beg you to listen to us right now. Either GLU is lying to you, or you are lying to us. Which. one. is. it?

I hate this game💀 Like genuinely is it that bad? Damn.
Your looks are really cute! I’ve been having unbelievably low scores this entire SYS—my first four looks had a MAXIMUM of 31, and my fifth and sixth still got under 40 even though they’re very similar to looks posted here that got 50+. I think something’s particularly weird about this SYS and both of us are seeing it.
If it's not possible to show new looks from new Show Your Style submissions, then the game might show other looks in the voting booth. This may be more likely to happen at the beginning of a new update.
The server can't calculate all votes received at the end of the event immediately, so we process the last submissions during the 20-minute delay.
Did you even read all the questions asked here? Whether the game shows bots in the voting booth or not is not even a question anymore since it's quite obvious it does, even without you saying so.
Where do the votes go when players vote for bots? They can't be counted for said look since it already got its votes and they take away votes when paired with real time submissions. That screams "scam" and I would very much like to know what is the solution to this issue.
And honestly, is there even any point in having these events and the voting booth when votes from players don't count or are already predetermined by the game's algorithm?
@KalindaKing Also to add on to @Jabberwooh 1) Just a few sys ago the bot thing "was only at the very start" of sys...not true 2) Why did it literally take multiple dolls showing receipts and evidence of seeing bots to finally get some transparency (which is still shady 'explanations') and consider making 'some changes to sys'...god help us whatever that means GLU has in store
Instead of continuing to roll out fraudulent SYS events, Glu should put the whole system on pause until they can get new mechanics sorted out, give an explanation why we are no longer seeing SYS events (in game because not every player is on the forum), and instead give the already designed prizes as earnables for completing storylines. Glu has shown that they can quickly fix the glitches that matter to them (like the 20 k star glitch and the wrong TS prize distribution "glitch"), so if they really wanted to do something about it they could, and they could do it quickly. It's just a matter of whether or not they want to.
SCAMMING IS ILLEGAL! Also this game has many references to drinking, gambling, and sexual encounters. Not to mention there is literally a casino where the only action you can do is gamble your money and the game is still marketed towards 12+ year olds? Looks like Glu is entrapping itself in more and more fraud and false advertising issues as mentioned previously.
When can we get REAL answers about these SYS bots and manipulative tactics used to try and make customers spend more on SYS tickets/designing high quality items for diamonds (*ThAt DoN’t RePlAcE k-StArS*) with no way to earn diamonds along with low quality items available for stars?
Agree with everything you said apart from sexual encounters with Cassio. It was fabulous 😂
Oh I know 😂 I’m a fan of those too. I personally don’t mind any of the references to drinking, gambling, or sex because I’m a legal adult and because of my personality lol 😂 but my point was just that they market the game as 12+ where those topics aren’t really child appropriate!
How many times have people been 5 votes from the last earnable? Were those votes for bots that could have gotten us an item or saved someone a ticket? That is called theft, boo
But, @KalindaKing, that's not true is it? It is not "old looks", proven by my own (and several others) bot not wearing an SYS submission, but instead our everyday wear.
