It'll be most helpful for leveling mid-week bonus guys that would otherwise never be able to be leveled at a discount (therefore I typically don't level these guys past S10 or G10 because I need to conserve XP for WOH days). I still think for me it would be, at best, a periodic thing I might invest in.
Bought one box and pulled the guy I wanted (Lemahieu). LOL, just kidding, bought a laughable (but not funny haha laughable) number of boxes, and got Degrom and Verlander like 3 times each, plus the other scrubs a bunch before finally getting one of the guys I would actually consider leveling. I did finally land Lemahieu…
Honestly, can we agree to just leave woh where it's at for Monday and Wednesday? Do I dislike the difficulty of more recent Wednesday's, yes. But imo it is probably where it should be. Do I like where the current warm-up, classic, all-star, hall-of-fame levels are as of now, yes! And these are likely subject to change…
@benny100, any chance a Mantle at D1 takes care of Sale? I'm almost afraid to try him there, since Vasquez is being such an unfriendly chap today so I've been re-using my best Righty against Lefty for Sale.
I've completely changed my batting approach now for WOH, since often times the slow stuff that goes down the middle of the plate on first pitch turns into a grounder or pop up a high percentage of the time. What I've been doing lately is I almost always take first pitch. If I don't see another strike in the at-bat, albeit…
@tribeguy2147, I didn't find platinum to be significantly more difficult than gold for woh (at least last year), although when I made the jump last year I had saved enough xp, pxp, lxp to level and cap 12 batters. I just made the jump to platinum today, and at best, i'll have three platinum bats (not all capped). I don't…
I don't think the "new" players in the boxes being put in the store every few days is really about keeping up with WOH, in my opinion. While the players in those boxes may help increase casual player's chances of cycling, I felt like once you accumulate enough relatively high-max players with woh appropriate skills to the…
I did pull Yelich, but would be absolutely furious had I not. I agree 100% they need to do something different with the DTI/Hall of Fame prize. At least had the other 50% prize been something like an additional 5,000 Prime XP or such it would have softened the blow. 25,000 blue cash is just insulting as a prize given the…
@newfy, I'm dealing with some of the same issues myself. I'm no game designer, or psychologist, but it seems pretty clear that the design is to induce anger through the programmed bad luck, etc. and to force us to act irrationally (i.e. buy gold, chase players, etc.). I think forced time outs are necessary, so I'm trying…
@Punkers777, have to agree with the skills not being ideal (i.e pitching skill that is not opposite the natural hitting position) which is why I don't see him being a slam dunk for a lot of people needing a 3B.
Cycled slug for the first time ever today, including '18. I started 2018 a little too late for slugfest to matter to me all that much, but I believe by the time I started EVO had already been replaced with xp/pxp rewards. Anyways, probably the most exciting part of today for me was nabbing Yelich, which would be my only 5*…
3 cycles today, but never have I hit into so many double plays. I lost count, but If I had to guess, no less than 20. Not all of them resulted in losing the round, but still..... Anyway, I'm light years ahead of where I was in 2018, this early in the season, with woh, so for that I am pleased!
