Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Hey all, in a few hours everyone will be able to update the game to 5.0

To make it easier to find info, please report any issues you are experiencing due to the update.

Any posts that do not concern the update will be deleted.

So far we're looking into the following

- Some game assets looking strange or pink
Most should be fixed

- unable to join friends
Fixed

- player icons flicker in lobbies
Investigating

- Error Loading Cars (91)
Fixed

- Error Loading Car (287 and 289)
Investigating

- Lobby Population issues
Investigating

- Unable to load Tokyo
Fixed

    You can't join friends anymore. Is and when will that be fixed it is a issue on all devices

    If you updated and your friends have NOT then that will be the issue why you can't join them. Just like console gaming, if one person updates and the other does NOT then they can not play together

    After some testing, that is what we have found.

    If two players have two different versions of the game, you will be unable to join each other.

    We have confirmed that players who have both updated can join each other. If you are still having difficulties, try having both parties force quit and relaunch. Might have to do that a couple times.

    ***Update*** looks like its still not working for some players. We are continuing to look into it

    My issue is that I can't even join a multiplayer lobby

    Lol I don't think that is the issue since I updated my 3 phones at the same time and they can not join each other no matter how many times I force close the game

    Im on IOS, this is one thing I also noticed when after racing, and you go to your Recently Raced section and looking into your opponents' garages, it shows you 2 cars which is kool but weird :neutral:

    So I have information that it is a lobby hopper block, so if you have friends that are better or worse than you in the game, you can no longer join that lobby.

    We cannot turn on all the features until we are able to force an update on everyone which should be sometime tomorrow

    Ryyst, yes the player icons flicker every so often. Also the status message and betting preference does not stay, it goes away.

    Still not being able to join friends even after both parties have done this task

    Can we get an option to switch back to old graphics? Just call this high and let us be able to switch to "low"
