I mean, I get it: a video ad system requires technical support on the backend plus useful ad inventory, and if the game is done and the eyeball count is decreasing, diminishing returns are inevitable. I do wish they'd offer more opportunities to either earn more gold or, like you said, reduce the cost of upgrades (I…
Tapjoy is gone for me too, though mine hasn't worked in ages (I ran into a bug that gave me free gold once - not a deliberate act on my part, it just started giving me free gold every time I minimized the app - and apparently my account got flagged after that). Noticed the latest batch of Serve 'Em Up goals has no gold…
Customer support sent me the same message about videos being discontinued + "you can just do offers instead." I asked them what to do if my offer wall thinks I have been engaged in suspicious activity. I mean, fine, this game probably isn't making them much money anymore and it's in maintenance of life mode if not end of…
If the free gold is gone there's no point to this game anymore (I still have five more venues to open and it's not worth paying real money to do that). Also my free offer wall thinks there's been suspicious activity on my device, which is fun -- maybe because I ran into that bug awhile ago where every time I opened the…
Response from customer service has changed to "aware of this", "working on a fix", "taking it seriously." I didn't receive any additional free gold, though I wasn't expecting it after getting 10 last week. I never get a "watch videos" daily goal though.
Reported this to customer service, got a few gold and a non-answer about how sometimes advertisers might not want to advertise to me so check back later. Guess it’s time to sit around and wait again. I guess the ad tracking token thing was when it wasn’t saving any game progress after watching ads, so this is different.
Every auto chef token is basically one gold bar off the cost of the auto chef in each venue. The game keeps track of them automatically. If you go into a venue and look at the upgrades shop, it might say that venue's auto chef now costs 160 gold instead of 180 because you've collected 20 tokens. You can eventually get…
Did you ever pay a few bucks to get rid of random ads you can't skip or decline? I did that maybe five years ago...no random gold ads now. (Which is fine, I hate random ads, but the gold thing is killing me now.)
I asked them why some folks are getting gold as compensation when writing in about this and others (me) are not. Customer care straight up told me that no one has received any gold due to this issue…like we’re not going to compare notes on their own company forums. Interesting. It’s a game, it’s imaginary currency, it’s…
I reported this to support (though I know they're well aware of it) and they tossed me a few gems and said they're working on a fix. People who paid for the upgrade should definitely complain harder than I did.
The other day it was doing this all day instead of the "no videos available" message you usually get after watching all 8. But yeah, usually it seems to be if you click next video too fast.
Turning tracking off, killing the app for good measure, turning it back on, and reopening the game works perfectly. It's annoying that we still need a workaround but I'm thankful there is one.
Oh interesting, I've been avoiding maxing anyone out (most of them are at level 17) because the ten gem cost to level up is annoying when there's always an event coming down the pike that will take 100 gems of upgrades in 5 seconds. Didn't know there are max level rewards.
Finally got a gems galore bonus the other day in Daily Goals, ended up with 16 gems playing chapter 2 level 15. I did use boosts but wasn't playing in top form :) Will try that again next time I get one of those bonuses.
Ooh, good tip. I hadn't wanted to replay a zillion levels looking for a good one with infinite customers. I hesitate on using all the boosts on Gems Galore but then again I seem to only get Gems Galore once every few weeks, so...
