Hey ms Charmander93, I had the same problem whereby no matter how many times I dated the NPC, I could not get married and my love points stayed at 2499 with the guy. I even tried dating other guys after breaking up with everybody that I had love points with. Nothing happened. The love points stayed at 2499, and I had a collection of different coloured engagement rings.
So I was forced to reset the game and start from scratch. I didn't reinstall the game, just reset it from in-game settings. I changed the gender to male. And what do you know it, I got married. It was pretty quick for me.
After levelling up to lvl 15, I went to Vegas and dated the NPC until I reached 2499 points. Immediately after that there was a heart bubble...Charlene called about the wedding planner, I went to The Silver Shellfish to see the planner, went to speak to fiancée about wedding location (I chose Tahiti), Charlene called about picking the right outfit, the quest about going to the wedding location popped up, I went over to Tahiti and got married.
So, I don't know if resetting the game helped or that it is easier to get married in the game as a guy...but good luck to you!!!
Just updated Stardom and though I'm no longer stick at 2499 now I have to wait till 5000 to get married!!! I did all. The tips/tricks suggested prior to the update and resigned myself to having to wait until the update to get married but if is known they'd up the point level I'd have reset the game...not impressed Glu!!
It was a pain! And now it is all over! We can all finally get married without the aggravation xD Glad it all worked out for you in the end! Congratulations!

thanks for advice, but still didnt work on me, after we go on date at 2499 meter he just only say hi honey thats all, there is no love bubble
This is my current situation. Been on 3 dates since hitting 2499 and nothing has changed. Already broken up with everyone when I first read this thread and still stuck at 2499/2500. I might have to have him break up with me or keep taking him on dates. .__.
Double check your Game Center friends, they are the pesky ones to break up with xD also if you're going to go down the root of breaking up, when engaged you need to date someone else in order for your partner to dump you
I think i'm a rare case. I just went on a date with another guy twice and no break up call. Go on a date with fiancé and finally a heart appears but its not to propose again. Its a random he says like when you visit him at his apartment. I don't use game center.log in always disable. I got the marriage patch but if theres another other than that i'll go check. o-o
Edit: Whoa thats what you meant. There is a beach patch and all wow. I'll go patch after this date ends.
Edit 2: After update, thing flew by so quick(the re propose part) when I talked to him again. Charlene calls tells me to meet with wedding planner. Wedding planner tells me to talk to fiancé. Fiancé says nada. Guess i'll just mess around until a chat bubble appears for him.
Edit 3: I fully closed the game out and the reporter re announced our engagement. A pop also re congratulated me on my engagement. And got the mobster quest and somehow he finally talked. Now i'm married woo.
