I love to change my hair color. Last year I changed like 6 or 7 times:p
Unfortunetely on the last summer I went platinum and my hair got very damaged, you know all that changes, so I didn't dyed it since the beginning of the year. Now that is winter time I would love to go darker with lowlights to reach a more natural shade of dark blonde or even a light brown with golden ombré, but NO just light ash blonde to me this time.

You're too kind lol thank you my stylist is also my colourist and I love him! He's the best hairdresser I've came across since I moved here. It's a smaller salon and not a chain like where I used to go but I think they get yo know you better and your hair than Toni and guy please excuse my hips in that skirt (lol it's my mum's Spanish genes haha it's more apparent since I hit my late 20s).

All my life I had long hair, and would cry/grumble each time my parents got me a haircut! But 2 years ago I went and made a crazy life decision to cut it short. Not like long-short, but really short around jaw length. I sat at the seat for 30 mins contemplating, I'll just have my hair trimmed, no, I'll have it short, I kept going back and forth. I think the hairstylist got pretty annoyed so she waited for the moment I said to cut it short, she grabbed my hair in a ponytail and snipped the whole thing and even waved it in my face lol. She also gave me a straight cut bangs. Oh, I paid $100 for it, people said I could have gotten it for $20 somewhere else lol. I did enjoy short hair moments while it lasted, washing and drying it was a breeze, no tangles! Now I have really long hair, it reaches until my butt. I have been thinking of curling it, maybe dye it too but I have never dyed my hair for fear of damaging it. It will cost a bomb tho for my hair length!! I wonder how much it costs in other countries.

I mean $100 are like R$ 400 here, that's half of a minimum wage, I pay R$ 200 to bleach my roots, a quarter of a minimum wage here, that would be what $25?!
That's why a lot of foreigners, come here to do plastic surgery, our specialists have the most modern procedures and aren't so expensive.
Back to hair, mine is at the middle of my back lenght, I wish it was thicker, everyday my testosterone kills it more and my forehead that was always immense is growing more, on few years I'll just sent my wig to the hairdresser lol
Once I had auburn hair and was an amazing experience, generally I prefer to have just one color on my hair, highlights and lowlights give a more natural feeling, but sometimes the 'bronde' dillemma bothers me a lot.
If I want to go for the dark side, has to be completely.

Here is my hair 2 years ago, ash blonde balayage highlights... I loved it!
And here you have - first two photos are how my hair looks now. First photo is fresh, from Saturday - I had 10 years from prom party (I'm getting old, d a m n ) lol
Second photo is from last week, excuse my snapchat stories lol but you can see the length and the color.
And third pic is from month and a half, darker shade of blond but didn't like it so I went and bleached it again lol Also as a bonus - I'm drunk af on that pic, probably the most drunk I've ever been ( it's on my bestie's bachelorette in Thessalonik, we drank 2 bottles of whiskey and champagne - 6 girls )
Regarding the price - the ash blonde is done in my hometown, by my hairstylist and it cost me just 40 EUR. Now, the ombre is done in Sofia, in a luxury saloon and it cost me 60 EUR the first time and I didn't get the color and style I wanted.. and then another 40 EUR for correction of the color after one month lol I regret this ombre a lot, I'll wait for summer to be over so I can make it darker again lol

Wow Nai! That's some very interesting facts. I never knew that Asians gets perms. I thought that only blacks and some Dominicans gets perms. It's so expensive in your country. When I got a perm at the hair salon, I remembered that Dominicans charged me $45 USD because they went by my hair length.
I used to get perms when I was relaxed/texlaxed, but now I'm natural. I remembered I had my first perm when I was about 14 years old. I begged my mom because I thought that my hair would be more manageable. And I always had a nice hair texture whether I was relaxed or natural. But till this day, I absolutely regret perming my hair. I was tired and it was getting costly to be relaxing my hair every three months within my budget.
I also did the big chop because I was very unhappy with how unhealthy my hair looked so I've decided enough is enough. I cut off all of relaxed ends because I had two textures growing in...relaxed and natural. I am sad that I have to start all over again but eventually it will grow back because I need to have patience through my natural hair care journey. I'm learning through my natural hair care regimen like what works for me and what doesn't.
Oh my hair tangles up easily just like yours Nai. I used to be lazy as you when I was relaxed but since I'm natural now I've made an effort to comb my hair more often.
I'll post pics of my hair transition from relaxed to natural when I find it.

Here's me when I was a teenager. My hair was permed/relaxed. I remembered girls used to envy my long lustrous gorgeous locks. Some girls thought that I wore a weave and girls always played with my hair and they touched it to see if it was really real. Ugh the nerve of those jealous high school girls lol
People always asked me what my nationality is and I've told them before. Some people though that was I was Indian and I'm like WTH⁉ hahaha
Here's me with my frequent trimmed looks. I hated getting trims because the Dominican hairdressers always cut my hair too short. They probably think that a trim is the same thing as a haircut. This is why I don't trust them anymore even though Dominicans gave me the best perms.
Here's how my natural hair looks like now. I've transitioned from relaxed to natural since last year. I did the big chop and it happened spontaneously since I didn't need to think twice when I made my final decision. I've outgrown my perm so that I can go back to natural because my hair looks happy and healthy again. I was so addicted to the creamy crack that I had to go back to my roots. My hair texture is thick & curly. Thanks to my parents for blessing me with my beautiful hair. I am a proud Afro-Latina.☺
I really don't know how to rock my afro confidently. I don't think that I look like a disco queen. I think that I look more like a rag doll.Why is my eyelids shining so brightly on my selfie lol

Carol your hair is beautiful and will grow back before you know it - the inversion method is good for helping it to grow quickly as long as you are careful read about health contraindications etc

Lucy, no secrets, my hair can handle treatments, its thick and heavy.. Although I am surprised too, that it isn't damaged after bleaching it 2 times in a month lol I only use shampoo and sometimes, rarely a conditioner.. sometimes I put on keration oil and leave it to dry naturally

I think that just to make that decision you are already rocking your hair confidently!
It was such a tough decision but I had to do what's best for my hair. I just needed a fresh start with my hair. I'm very optimistic that my hair will grow back long & healthy again.

Lucy, no secrets, my hair can handle treatments, its thick and heavy.. Although I am surprised too, that it isn't damaged after bleaching it 2 times in a month lol I only use shampoo and sometimes, rarely a conditioner.. sometimes I put on keration oil and leave it to dry naturally

I have had long hair since I can remember, the last few years it grew to just above my h i n e y. I'm a naturel red head but have been dyeing my hair platinum blond since I was 14. The last few years my stylist dyed the bottom layer brown. Here's a pic that shows it a bit:
And then, just a few weeks ago, I decided to chop it off and have it dyed conpletely platinum blond. It took some getting use to but I'm really happy with my hair now:
